ABOUT US
Owner and Baker, William Tyler. William AKA “Willie
T” grew up on a horse farm in Benson, Vermont. He attended Paul
Smith’s college in upstate New York for Culinary Arts and has worked
in the food service industry for over 10 years. William, an avid
sports fan, is the Athletic Director at the local Benson Grade school
and also coaches soccer, basketball, and baseball. A snowboarder
since the 80’s, he also sponsors a men’s league soccer team. In
addition to his bakery, William owns a natural dog food company
called the Benson Beef Company.
“Vermont COOKIES”
The answer to the Fat question…we have three reason’s why we call
them Fat cookies:
Reason #1…They are “Big” in shape.
Reason #2….They are almost completely Fat
free, we use 99% dairy free semi sweet chocolate chips and natural
peanut butter…we do not use any butter or hydrogenated oils…our
cookies are practically Fat Phree.
Reason #3….Well up here in Vermont we do what
we want, and that means spelling too…these cookies are made with
such good stuff they are totally cool!!!
THE HISTORY: Willie T’s Good Food Bakery was established
in August of 2005. It is located on a family farm in Benson, Vermont.
It is Owned and Operated by William S. Tyler, AKA “Willie T”. Willie
was a 2000 graduate of Paul Smith’s College Bachelor’s program in
Culinary Arts. He has extensive experience in the Culinary profession
and has spent time cooking in France, Florida, New York, and his
home state of Vermont. His love for cooking whole food with unprocessed
ingredients led him to open his “Good Food Bakery”. A Vermont bakery
using Vermont Wheat to make what could possibly be “the world’s
best cookie”.
